Introducing Orbit Cannabis Cultivation!
Tokin Around is excited to announce our partnership with Orbit Cannabis Cultivation, who will serve as Tokin Around’s official source for cannabis cultivation information and insight in Michigan.
We wanted this partnership to be about more than putting another name or logo next to Tokin Around. We wanted to connect with people who actually understand cultivation, the Michigan industry, and the work that goes into producing a quality plant. After learning more about Orbit and the people behind it, we believe we found exactly that.
WHO IS ORBIT?
Orbit Cannabis Cultivation is based in Fife Lake, Michigan, and has been part of Northern Michigan since 2023. Orbit's mission is centered around cultivating premium cannabis and providing a reliable wholesale supply to dispensaries, processors, and entrepreneurs throughout Michigan. Just as importantly, the company emphasizes developing long-term partnerships built on trust and transparency.
Orbit highlights several qualities that define its operation: locally grown products cultivated in Northern Michigan, community-focused partnerships, environmentally conscious cultivation practices, industry expertise, and reliable wholesale distribution.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PLANTS
There's a knowledgeable team behind the Orbit operation.
Sergio, Head of Cultivation, brought experience from the California market to Michigan and has led Orbit's cultivation team since 2023. His focus is keeping plants healthy and thriving so each harvest delivers.
Stephanie, Head of Post-Production, takes over once the flower leaves the grow rooms. She oversees curing, trimming, and packaging, helping maintain quality and consistency throughout the post-production process.
Haley, Head of Sales & Marketing, has worked in customer service since 2013, including experience with national and international companies. At Orbit, she focuses on sales, marketing, communication, and developing relationships with the businesses carrying Orbit products.
MEET THE OWNERS: PHIL & SEAN
Behind Orbit are owners Phil and Sean, who bring two very different but complementary backgrounds to the company.
Phil is a Chicago lawyer with a strong background and interest in mathematics and data. Orbit describes him as the person who helps keep the cultivation operation on a science-driven foundation, using numbers and data to develop strategies for the grow.
Sean brings extensive industry experience, dating back to Michigan's caregiver market. His background combines knowledge of the plant with business and customer service experience. Before moving into the industry full-time, Sean worked at Merrill Lynch, experience that he now applies to helping guide Orbit's business operations. Orbit also describes him as having an exceptional memory and an ability to evaluate strains by aroma.
Together, Phil and Sean bring an interesting combination to Orbit: science, data, business experience, industry knowledge, and an understanding of the plant itself.
That's exactly the kind of perspective we want to bring to the Tokin Around community.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR TOKIN AROUND
Our relationship with Orbit gives Tokin Around an opportunity to bring our followers closer to the cultivation side of the industry.
We'll be able to explore topics involving cultivation, genetics and strains, growing practices, harvesting, curing, post-production, Michigan's market, and the people responsible for making everything happen.
Orbit says its approach goes beyond simply supplying a product. The company focuses on consistent quality, reliable supply, local partnerships, and professional guidance, with an emphasis on helping its partners succeed.
And that fits perfectly with what Tokin Around is all about:
PEOPLE. 🌿 PLANTS. 🌿 CULTURE.
We're looking forward to introducing our community to Phil, Sean, Sergio, Stephanie, Haley, and the rest of the Orbit team, learning more about their operation, and bringing genuine Michigan cultivation knowledge directly to Tokin Around.
